Rental Cabins and Glamping
Beaverdam Falls Outdoor Recreation & Camping:
This secluded and scenic private reserve offers several cottages and cabins and a unique glamping opportunity. The five lodging options are thoughtfully positioned on the private 65-acre property to provide guests with a experience free of crowds. Two other lodging options are located off-site, but offer access to the reserve to hike, swim and enjoy the 40-foot falls.
Cabin on the Creek, LLC:
Enjoy beautiful mountain views by day and stargazing at night at this luxury cabin located on Potts Creek in southwest Alleghany County. Enjoy the tranquility of nature as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area fire pit and hot tub. A stay at Cabin on the Creek is a genuine escape to nature, yet is only a 20 minute drive from Covington.
Bed & Breakfast Inns
Cliff View Golf Course and Inn:
Located north of Covington, Cliff View offers easy access to the Jackson River and the Jackson River Scenic Trail. There is an 18-hole golf course with fairways that offer stunning mountain views. The Brewhouse at Cliffview is a seasonal on-site restaurant that offers great food, cold drinks and lovely entertainment in a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.
Evergreen Inn:
The Intervale Trailhead of the Jackson River Scenic Trail is just steps away from the Evergreen Inn, a historic property built in 1920 and recently renovated. Each apartment style rental unit is unique, with most offering a bedroom, living room with sleep sofa, kitchen area and bathroom with shower.
Firmstone Manor:
This 16-acre property features beautifully restored cottages that have old-world charm combined with modern amenities. Firmstone Manor is located in the Longdale area of eastern Alleghany County. It offers easy access to hiking trails, including Douthat State Park, and is only a few minutes away from downtown Clifton Forge.
Hillcrest Mansion Inn:
Enjoy a luxury escape in Clifton Forge at this historic B&B. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast service in the formal dining room and afternoon tea in Julia’s Tea Room. Hillcrest is designed with relaxation in mind. After a swim in the outdoor pool, enjoy a good book while rocking on the wraparound porch.
The Old Parsonage House:
The property derives its name from the building’s use at the home of clergy at the first Christian church in Clifton Forge. The historic building has been meticulously restored and now features three spacious private suites. The Old Parsonage House is located in the heart of downtown within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the Historic Masonic Theatre.
The Opal House:
This boutique hotel features eight elegant rooms with en suite baths, fireplaces and vintage charm. Guests will enjoy thoughtful amenities like a fully stocked coffee and tea bar, a mini kitchen for light meals, and a cozy sitting area designed for relaxation. The location in Low Moor is ideally located between Covington and Clifton Forge and surrounded by beautiful mountain views.
Ridgely Bed, Breakfast & Garden:
One of the oldest houses in Clifton Forge, Ridgely has been lovingly maintained to preserve the original architecture and charm, while including some modern delights. The gardens remain virtually the same as when they were originally landscaped in 1932. They contain dozens of types of flowers, plants and trees, including majestic oaks that are nearly 200 years old.
Red Lantern Inn:
This 100-year old building as been fully renovated into casual accommodations. It is ideally located in downtown Clifton Forge within walking distance of the Historic Masonic Theatre and local shops and restaurants. In addition to the Red Lantern Inn, a cozy cottage with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms is available for short-term or long-term accommodations.
